EXL: Johnson and Menšík take Player of the Week 2 award
It is the second time fans could vote for the best players of the week this season. The results were the announced by ČBA.
It is interesting to note that Canadian baseballer playing for Nuclears Třebíč Ryan Johannes Johnson was once again successful. He didn’t take the Player of the Week award this time, but instead, he was announced as the Pitcher of the Week. He narrowly beat Jan Novák who took the award in Week 1 after he recieved 52% of votes. Johnson caught the interest of the fans with his performance on Saturday against Jablonec, after he only allowed two hits in eight innings. He also added 10 strikeouts.
Třebíč also had another player in the game, with Tomáš Chadim. In the end, however, it was the playing coach from Technika Brno, currently on loan in Arrows Ostrava Matěj Menšík who took the Player of the Week. Menšík continues in the good performances this season. He had 7 hits, two of which were homeruns, in the series against Eagles. He now has 3 HR on the season.
