MiLB: Adam Macko has his first win of the season
For the third time on the season, Adam Macko started on the mound for Modest Nuts on Thursday. Once again he pitched very well and he helped his team to a win in another game.
Inland Empire 66ers, a minor league team for Los Angeles Angels, was Nuts opponent. Inland Empire players started better, however, despite Modesto’s Noel Marte solo homerun in the top of the first inning. Home team responded with two runs in the bottom half. Macko remained on the mound for five innings, which marked his new max on the season. During his time, he allowed 4 runs but also had 10 SO.
Nuts were able to win the game 10-7. Seattle Mariners farm team improved their record in Low-A West to 12-3. Adam Macko got his first win in 2021 season and with 10 more SO, he is now ranked first in the number of Ks within the league.
Impressive outing for LHP Adam Macko tonight for Modesto. He just completed 5 IP with his 10th strikeout at a cool 95 mph. HS lefty drafted in ‘19, definitely a hot name to know in the Mariners’ system.
