EXL: Arrows beat Draci on Thursday after the end game comeback
The series between Draci and Arrows promised interesting games. It was affirmed in the first game of the series that was played on Thursday in Ostrava, and brought drama till the last pitch.
Both teams started foreign pitchers. And for a long time Brno’s Omar Conoropo was on top. On the other hand, Ostrava’s Alec Lemmon watched the ball fly behind the fence after Pabel Manzanero solo homerun. The same player increased Draci lead to 2-0 in the third inning with another solo homerun.
Home team couldn’t press against Conoropo for a long time, but in the seventh inning, Arrows put together three hits and leveled the score at 2-2. Subsequently, Conoropo was substituted for Martin Schneider. The end of the game saw two Czech pitchers face each other, when Arrows played Ondřej Satoria.
Arrows managed to jump ahead after Jakub Hajtmar‘s error in the eight inning, after which Petr Čech scored. However, Draci didn’t give up, in the ninth inning, the got a runner on the third base, but Ondřej Satoria kept his head cool and finished the game with a strikeout against Martin Pernička. Ostrava took the first win and the series itself will continue on Friday in Brno.
