EXL: Eagles Praha beat Hroši in the second game of the series
Extraliga continued on Saturday with the second game of the series between Hroši Brno and Eagles Praha.
While Eagles dominated their opponent on Friday, Saturday game was much closer. Hroši finished the first inning with 2-0 lead after Lukáš Trunkát and Martin Kollár both earned an RBI against Eagles starter Tomáš Duffek.
Hroši starter Matyáš Němčanský kept Eagles scoreless till the bottom of the fourth inning. That started with a solo homerun from Marek Chlup, followed by Matěj Hejma leveling the score moments later. An inning later Eagles took the lead for the first time, when Hroši walked Michal Zýma with bases loaded.
However, visitors didn’t give up and they added 4 runs before the bottom half of the eighth inning. Bottom half was, however, disastrous for Brno team, when Eagles scored 8 runs on them. Jan Uhlíř then kept visitors scoreless in the ninth inning and Eagles celebrated the win.
Eagles won second game against Hroši. Furthermore, they became first team in TOP 6 to earn seven wins. On the other hand, Hroši now have 9 losses and were they to lose on Saturday, they would be the first team with double digit losses in TOP 6 this season.
