EXL: Team of the Month – June
Another month has passed and we return with Team of the Month, in association with Czech Baseball Association.
While May lineup missed any Draci players, Eagles players are missing in June selection. One of the rules for the selection was to play in at least four games of the regular season or TOP 6 and to have at least 14 PA. For this reasons names such as Jakub Malík, Petr Čech, or Daniel Riegger are missing from the selection.
On the other hand, Draci returned to the lineup with Omar Conoropo, who took the reliever spot. In the infield there are also Adam Hajtmar and Martin Kalábek who impressed with their performances. The latter continued with his form in CEB Cup in France, where Draci finished first.
In the outfield we picked author of two HR and eleven RBI Marek Minařík. With the way he played, Minařík also took the pitcher’s spot when he threw 14 innings with 0.64 ERA and earned a no-hitter. His teammate Matěj Bužga was picked for the center fielder position, having BA .421 and OBP .542. Michal Zelenka, who had even better numbers than Bužga, then wraps up the trio from Tempo Praha.
Martin Mužík from Hluboká, who took catcher position, was dominant in the offense. He had 16 hits (3 HR) and 10 RBI.
