U12 European Championship: Czechs beat Netherlands in semifinals and will play for title
Czech U12 played the most important game at European Championship yet. On Friday they faced Netherlands in the semifinals. Winner of the game would not only advance to the finals, but would also earn spot at World Championship.
Young team couldn’t wish for a better start, when they scored six runs in the first inning and with a promising lead they were well on their way to victory.
Štěpán Němčanský remained on the mound till the fifth inning, only allowing 4 runs. Dominik Durlin, who allowed 2 hits and no run, then added remaining five outs.
Czechs won 8-4 showing they belong to the best Europe has to offer in the U12 category. Thanks to this performance we will see them measure their skill against the best of the best at World Championship which is traditionally played in Taiwan.
