U12 European Championship: Hungary couldn’t beat Czechs either
Czech U12 team played the last game in the group stage on Thursday where they faced Hungary.
Even though Czechs were the favorite, it didn’t look that way after the first inning. Hungary scored three runs and Czechs couldn’t respond with any, starting the second inning from behind.
The second inning looked different, however, as Czechs scored four runs taking the lead with 2 RBI hits from Adam Tošovský and Jakub Kliner.
Hungary leveled the score in the fourth inning, but bottom half of the inning was all about Czech bats, scoring 6 runs. They continued in the following inning adding 4 more runs. With score difference at 10 runs, the game ended early on mercy rule.
Czechs finished the group stage without a loss, but they still have the most important part of the championship ahead of them. They will face Netherlands at 14:30 on Friday, the team that finished second in group B. The winner of the game will advance to the finals of the championship, but will also have a spot at U12 World Championship.
