EXL U21: Hroši Brno won the first final game against Draci
The final U21 series between Hroši and Draci started on Saturday. And it was Hroši who took the first game.
But it was Draci who started the game better when they scored three runs in the first inning. Matyáš Němčanský, who struggled on the mound, helped his opponent with five walks and had to be substituted in the first inning. Visitors then added four more runs in the third inning and were leading 7-1.
But things started to go downhill for Draci in the fourth inning. Visitors substituted starter Dominik Polgár for Václav Tauš. Tauš was unable to keep Draci lead despite his team being 10-5 ahead before the bottom of the seventh inning.
Draci defense didn’t help their pitcher, causing two errors and suddenly, the score was leveled at 10-10 and Hroši had runners at the second and the third base with two outs. Draci walked Tomáš Řičny and Hroši loaded the bases. Tauš then hit David Fiala and home team walked for the win.
The final series will continue on Monday, when both teams meet at MBS at 17:00.
