Arrows and Draci know their 2022 Champions Cup groups
For the first time in history, Czech baseball will have two teams in the most prestigious European club baseball tournament. And WBSC Europe now announced groups for it.
As in the previous years, there will be eight teams playing at Champions Cup. In 2022 season, there will be teams from only four nations and so WBSC Europe took the fact into consideration when creating the groups, so that the teams from the same country don’t play together. Hence, Draci will play in Group A against current champions from Parma, Italy. Furthermore, they will also play against Amsterdam, Netherlands and Heidenheim, Germany. Czech champions from Ostrava will play in Group B against San Marino, Curacao Neptunus and German Bonn, who will play at home.
Both Czech teams have tough games ahead of them, hoping to keep both cup spots for next season, as the team, which finishes the last, loses Champions Cup 2023 spot, which goes to winner of Confederations Cup.
