First League: American Ethan Lanz arrives to Jablonec
While Jablonec club doesn’t play in the Czech top league anymore, they brought in an interesting player for the upcoming season. It is American Ethan Lanz.
Lanz, who will celebrate his 24th birthday in April, will play in Europe for the first time. In the previous seasons he played mostly college baseball, where he represented York College for the past three years. His best season was 2019, when he won Golden Glove for the best defensive player at the third base. In the previous year he also played for Colorado Sox in Rocky Mountain Baseball League in Denver. This is where he showed his defensive brilliance and became the best third baseman. He also had .349 BA.
In the defense Lanz played mostly at the corners of the inner field, with third base being his preferred position. He can, however, play at the first and second base as well.
