EXL: Draci Brno announced another foreigner
Extraliga runner ups Draci Brno announced a new foreign player on Saturday. It is Arubian born player who played for Baltimore Orioles organization, Gillian Wernet.
Twenty three year old pitcher played 4 seasons for Orioles organization, where he got to Rookie level. He threw 107 innings with 4.54 ERA. After he left Orioles, Wernet went to Netherlands where he spent 2 seasons in the top league. His game wasn’t going so well there, however, as he had 22.95 ERA in 13.1 innings. In the previous season he played for Italian Macareta Angles, throwing 34.2 innings with 6.75 ERA and 40 SO.
In 2018 Wernet also became a member of Netherlands national team at U23 World Championship. He played as a reliever, throwing 5 innings with 10.80 ERA.
