Marek Chlup awarded Player of the Week
For the second time in his career, Czech baseballer Marek Chlup playing for North Greenville University, got awarded the Player of the Week in NCAA Division II Southeast Region.
The award is given by National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) who also awarded Chlup in March of the previous year. Czech was certainly having a good week when he earned 10 hits from 16 AB and also stole 3 bases. He also added 3 homeruns. In the first game of the week he only missed a single to get the Cycle.
Chlup currently has .407 BA and is the best batter for North Greenville. He is fourth in the conference. If he continues in the similar manner we should not be surprised if he peeks an interest of a MLB organization.
