EXL: Arrows a step closer to TOP 6. Draci will finish first after the regular season

The last round of the regular season started on Friday with three games in Extraliga. And one of the resolve the question of who would finished the first. Eagles also became to the fourth team to ensure their spot in TOP 6.

Arrows Ostrava – Sokol Hluboká 3-1

Visitors entered the important game for TOP 6 better when Martin Mužík sent his tam ahead with a solo homerun in the first inning. However, home team managed to load the bases in the second inning after a command issues from William Parsons. Jakub Kubica then sealed the deal with 2 RBI. Draci Brno – Tempo Praha 5-0

YD Baseball Arena in Brno hosted a game that could decide who would end up in the first place of the regular season. And home players started quickly. They got the runners on the bases for Martin Pernička and Milan Prokop to score in the runs. Draci got 3-0 lead in the first inning and they wouldn’t let the game get dramatic till the end. Their pitchers didn’t allow Tempo any runs. Juan Jaime also played his first game in Extraliga, where he pitched one inning striking out all three batters. After 5-0 win, Draci are certain to finish the regular season in the first place.

Eagles Praha – Třebíč Nuclears 13-3 (8 inn.)

Třebíč players arrived to Eagles Park after they ensured their historically first appearance in TOP 6. On the other hand, home team needed a win to get their spot. Eagles managed to do just that thanks to two innings, where they scored 10 runs altogether. Petr Zýma and Jake MacDonald both his a grand slam. Martin Červenka recoreded 3 hits and 2 walks, thanks to which his OBP improved to .576. He’s not close to getting the historical record for OBP in the regular season (Czech players only), which is currently held by Jakub Kubica.
