First League: Jablonec in rebuild this season
While Jablonec played Extraliga in 2021, when the competition slimmed down to 8 teams, they returned back to First League. In the previous season they finished first, but were unable to win their spot in Extraliga. This year their ambitions changed.
Jablonec will be in rebuild this year, as mentioned by Lukáš Roubíček on club’s social pages.
[Translated] After winning in the previous season we are expecting more of a rebuild this year. We will have five youngsters who will play senior baseball for the first time. Our biggest ambition is of course to win, but we want to focus on quality baseball and helping newcomers get experience.

Jablonec can use their junior team, which played U18 Extraliga. Some of the interesting players were Pavel Nermuť, who finished with BA .368 in seven games. Vítek Beneš finished behind him with BA .348. Junior duo Jan Pesničák and Jakub Sucharda got their opportunity on the mound. Jablonec certainly has depth and it will be interesting to see, how will they be able to get the new players into the senior team.
