Petr Čech added another milestone broken in the Friday game played in Hluboká nad Vltavou. He became only the sixth player in Extraliga history to hit 700 hits.
Čech needed two hits before the beginning of the game. And he got the first in early, in the first inning where he hit a solo homerun and gave Hroši lead. He then had to wait for his second till the last inning. But it wasn’t clear whether he would get to bat to begin with, because he was the 4th batter in order. However, two Hroši before him did their job and they gave Čech chance to bat. His hit against Alec Lemmon also scored 4th Brno run and his team was able to come back from 2-5 to win the game 6-5.
