FC: Trnava entered the qualification with a win, will play in semifinals
Players of Angels Trnava had an excellent start to the Federations Cup qualification. They beat CS Leaders Călărași from Romania 16-5.
Angels steamrolled through their opponent in the first couple of innings, after Michal Puškár batted in two run to start the game. In the end he became Trnava’s best batter when he ended as the only one with 4 hits, one of which was a homerun. His teammates also wanted to get a piece of action and so Trnava had 10-1 lead after three innings.
Starter Samuel Holekši remained on the mound for three innings, where he only allowed one run. Even that was unearned. Samuel Deák and Michal Puškár then finished the game.
The game ended after seven innings, as Angels were more than 10 runs ahead. Trnava will play in the semifinals of the Hungarian qualification group thanks to the win. They will continue on Friday against hosting Red Wolves Budapest in a game that will determine whether they finish the first or the second.
