College Baseball: Padyšák has a first start and a win. Pospíšil finished with 3 RBI in a game
The first March week brought a number of college baseball games from overseas and Czech player were not missing.
Daniel Padyšák playing for Georgia University played in two games. First, he went on the mound on Wednesday against Stenson, where he helped his team to 11-5 win. He threw a scoreless inning (1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 0 SO). His second game came against Northern Colorado University, where he started the game for the first time this season. In the end he threw three innings, where he allowed (3 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 1 BB, 2 SO, 2 HR). He didn’t need to feel sorry as Georgia won 14-6 and Czech player got his first win of the season.

Another Czech pitcher in NCAA D1, Michal Kovala, threw only one game for Georgia Tech, when he played on Tuesday against Northeastern Huskies. He allowed 3 runs in 1.2 IP as his team lost 0-7 (1.2 IP, 3 H, 3 R, 2 BB, 2 SO). Georgia Tech returned to the winning ways in the following games, as they won 4 in a row. This time Kovala remained on the bench.
Martin Zelenka, playing for UNC Wilmington, was part of two games. He played as a catcher against Boston College on Tuesday, where his team lost 7-14. Zelenka didn’t get any hits (0/4, 2 SO). He had a much better day against Saint Joseph’s, where he had a double and a run (1/3, 1 R, 1 H). UNC won 3-2 in the end, and currently holds record 9-7 on the season.
Jan Pospíšil added two games for Pitt Community against Camp Community College. In the first he had a hit (1/3, 1 R, 1 BB) in the second he batted in all the runs of his team. Unfortunately, Pitt Community lost both games.
Nicolas O’Rourke and his Diablo Valley played three games. In the first against Sierra College he threw almost 3 innings, where he only allowed a run (2.2 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 1 BB, 0 SO). But even this wasn’t enough for Diablo Valley to win. In the second game, against the same opponent, Czech player moved to the field. His 2 hits on Thursday were not enough to get the win (2/3, 1 RBI, 1 BB, 1 SO) and Sierra won 7-3. On Friday, he helped his team to 8-4 win (1/3, 1 R, 1 RBI, 1 BB, 1 SO).
