EXL: Draci beat Nuclears for the first time this season
It was raining again. Due to the weather conditions two out of three games had to be postponed in Extraliga. The only game played was in Brno, but even here it was a far cry from ideal conditions.
Nuclears had a good record against Draci before the Friday game as they won all three games this season. However, it was a different situation on Friday, as Draci had a strong start and scored 5 runs in the first inning. Everything started with a solo homerun from Martin Červinka, who finished the game with 3 hits.
Visiting batters had much tougher time against Filip Čapka for the first three innings. However, with the increased rated of rain Nuclears bats came alive and they scored their first run in the fourth inning. The second was batted in by Jan Urbánek in the sixth inning. However, that was all Čapka allowed, when he threw 7 innings and struck out 7. Tomáš Urbánek then added 2 more scoreless innings.
Draci also scored more runs and they were close to finish the game early in the eighth inning. It wasn’t meant to be at that moment, but in the end they won 10-2.
The series will be wrapped up on Saturday. Besides this, there are 6 more games planned for the International Children’s Day, this time, hopefully, with better weather.
