EXL: Jakub Malík tied legendary Jiří Víšek in homeruns
Those who came to Arrows Park on Saturday get a chance to witness a historical moment. Home captain Jakub Malík blasted a two run homerun, tying Jiří Víšek in the 4th place of the historical standings.
It all happened in the bottom half of the third inning, when Malík hit a pitch from Filip Čapka and it flew all the way behind the fence. This practically ensured his team’s win, who finished the game 4-2.

It was 105th homerun in Czech Extraliga for Malík which moved him to the 4th place in the history. There he tied another Czech baseball legend Jiří Víšek. Currently, only Martin Střitecký and Matěj Hejma with 119 HR, and likely unreachable Pavel Budský with 165 HR are in front of him. It is also important to state that Jakub Malík got majority of his homeruns at the time, where only wooden bats were allowed in Extraliga.
