U12 ECq: Slovakia beat Great Britain
The second game at U12 European Championship qualification brought another win for Slovakia. U12 team beat the Great Britain and is yet to lose a game.
Young Slovaks started the game well, when they were leading 3-0 after the first inning, thanks to hits from Kovac and Andrič. Slovakia hit again in the fourth inning, when they scored 6 runs, which turned out to be decisive.
Blake Kovac had an excellent game on the mound, when he pitched 3 hitless innings. He also didn’t walk anyone and added 5 SO. Their opponent only started to score against the bullpen and was closing in on Slovaks.
But Slovaks were able to hold the game and win it 10-6. They are currently one of only two teams, along with Belgium, who is yet to lose a game at the tournament. Slovaks will get the chance to solidify their position on Friday against Poland, who beat Hungary 10-6 in the second day.
