WBL: New season starts in May, once again with seven teams.
The 2025 season of the only regular women’s baseball league in Europe will start on 24th of May. The same as in the previous season we get to see seven teams compete for the title, including the reigning champions for Sheffield and the runner ups Manchester Jetts.
The first game day will bring seven games, three in Bristol and four in Sheffield. SWWBL Serpents will open the season on their home ground against the winners of the first season Belles Baseball at 11 am local time. The first game in Sheffield will start an hour later when the champions host Leicester Diamonds. During the day we get to see all seven teams playing, including London Mayhem, Norwich Iceni Queens and Manchester Jetts.
There are several players in the league who we are likely to see competing at European Championship which will take place in Hluboká nad Vltavou in August, so it will be interesting to see how each team performs. It is currently uncertain whether live play-by-play will be available, however, you can follow the results at the official page.
