EXL: Draci Brno won Czech Series 2020
Fourth game of the Czech Series was played on Saturday. After losing on Friday, Draci Brno had their second chance to win the title.
This time in Ostrava, home team played Boris Bokaj on the mound. Draci responded with a young pitcher Ondřej Furko. Both starting pitchers dominated the game for a long time and the fans had to wait till 6th inning to see a run. Přemek Chroust blasted a solo homerun behind the fence to give Draci a 1-0 lead. Next runs came in top of 8th inning after two run homerun by Petr Čech.
Winning 3-0, Draci substituted Furko for Martin Schneider. However, in the inning, the strong defense of the away team commited error, letting Arrows to pull a run.
In the following inning, Draci managed to get the run back, gaining 4-1 lead. In the bottom of 9th inning Arrows got a runner on base, but Draci didn’t allow them another hit and after registering third out, it was the away team that could celebrate the Czech Series 2020 title.
With the win, Draci Brno gained their 22nd title, first after three years, snapping the two year winning streak of Arrows Ostrava.
