EXL: Tempo announced two players from Kotlářka
After being demoted to the First League, it was expected a number of Kotlářka Praha players would join different teams to play in Extraliga. Three players, who will play for other teams in the next season, were already announced. After Lukáš Ercoli, who joined Hroši for a year-long loan, there will be two Kotlářka players joining the rival team Tempo Praha.
Tempo announced Filip Smola and Ondřej Blažka would strengthen their roster. Smola joins Tempo on a permanent deal, while Blažka was loaned to Prague team. Twenty-four year old national Filip Smola will play in Extraliga after a year-long break, as he played in the United States in 2021. He left for the States after a solid season, when he finished 2020 with BA .347 and OBP .500. His experience from abroad should improve Tempo infield defense.
On the other hand, Ondřej Blažka is a welcome improvement in the center field, as Tempo mostly played Matěj Bužga and Aleš Nepomucký in 2021. The duo had, based on the numbers from baseball-stat.cz, WAR -0.1 and 0.2 respectively. Ondřej Blažka sported WAR 1.1 in Kotlářka and if he can continue in his form, Tempo chances for the top three places will look more likely.
