Petr Čech is the newest member of Homerun Club
Petr Čech became the newest member of the Czech Homerun Club on Sunday, when he blasted his 50th HR (in league, cups, and national team) in the final of Czech Baseball Cup.
It happened in the third inning, while Arrows were 4-0 ahead. Player, who started his career in Ostrava, is now playing for Hroši. The homerun meant visitors scored 2 runs and came closer to tying the game. The homerun came against Matěj Satoria.
Petr Čech became only 20th member of this elite club. Pavel Budský, who retired this year, still tops the homerun table. There are also only 5 players with more than 100 HR. Beside Budský, it’s also Matěj Hejma, Martin Střítecký, Jiří Víšek a Jakub Malík..
