Czech games at World Baseball Classic stirred interest even outside the baseball community as new records were broken at Czech Television.
As mentioned on his Twitter account by Robert Záruba, the first game against China was watched by 105 000 viewers (start at 4am CET) and cumulative reach was 390 000 viewers. The game against Japan went even further (played at 11am CET) watched by 240 000 fans, with cumulative reach of 840 000 viewers. As Záruba, along with Michal Dusík mentioned, this was the most watched baseball game in the country in the history of the television.
