CB: Padyšák started again. Chlup’s NGU won another tournament

While some Czech players returned back home, duo Padyšák, Chlup still had some games to play.

Charleston Southern University played their last game of the spring season, when they faced Gardner-Webb in a three game series. Czech pitcher Daniel Padyšák started in the last of them. He remained on the mound till the 3rd inning, allowing 3 runs. His teammates were able to compensate in the offense and CSU won 11-4. Padyšák threw 42.1 IP with ERA 3.19 and 46 K this season.

North Greenville with Marek Chlup played NCAA Division II Southeast Regional #1 tournament. The winner advances to NCAA Division II Southeast Super Regional. Tournament schedule put Georgia Southwestern State University in their path, which NGU beat 6-5 after a historical walk-off homerun from John Faile. NGU lost 7-13 to Mount Olive in the following game, but Chlup earned his first hit of the tournament. NGU advanced to the files from loser bracket and they needed to beat Mount Olive two times if they wanted to win it. They managed to do just that in the end. In the first game, Chlup scored in the first run and NGU won 11-5. In the second one, Czech player got 3 out of 9 team’s RBI and helped his team to 9-2 win. NGU extended their season for at least a week as they play against Belmont Abbey College in NCAA Division II Southeast Super Regional. If they win it, they will advance to NCAA Division II World Series.
