EXL: Extraliga Opening Weekend brought spectators record
A nice weather and new season brought a large number of fans to Extraliga games. Based on the info from Czech Baseball Association, Opening Weekend brought a new spectator’s record.
Based on the statistics that ČBA collected from the clubs there were 1505 spectators in eight stadiums in three days. That means that there were 200 fans to watch each game on average.
Based on our information, ČBA used the information from the scorecards and they completed the information by contacting the teams personally if the value was missing. But we also found out that Třebíč managed to get a lot of fans in thanks to an attractive game against Draci Brno. There were many fans in the Opening Day at Eagles Park as well. Draci even reported 300 fans for their opening game. Based on the publicly available information there were the least fans in Arrows Park, with 142 of them. But half of the data is not available to public.
