EXL: Tomáš Duffek jumped to the 3rd place in strikeouts
The Sunday game at Tempo not only brought a win for Eagles Praha, but also a Czech Extraliga milestone. As noted by Jiří Vlach from baseball-stat.cz project during Monday BallCast podcast, Eagles Praha starter Tomáš Duffek overtook Leoš Kubát in the historical table of strikeouts and moved to the 3rd place.
Before the game started, Duffek had 930 SO and was on SO behind Kubát. He managed to tied him in the second inning, when he struck out Ondřej Blažek. Only a few moments later, he earned another SO and moved to the 3rd place. In the end, Duffek finished the game with 9 SO and currently has 939 of them in his career.

Thirty four year old pitcher can still reached 1000 career Ks as only the second pitcher in Extraliga history. Boris Bokaj, who is currently second, can also reach this milestone, as he’s still an active player for Arrows Ostrava. Either of them can also think about overtaking Petr Minařík, who is the first with 1092 Ks.
