EXL: Japan’s Uemura and Tamba return to Eagles
Prague team Eagles Praha announced two foreign signings for the upcoming season. The two Japanese players from the previous season return – Koya Uemura and Natusku Tamba.
Twenty six year old Koya Uemura was one of the most feared Extraliga players in 2024 season. With 8 HR and OBP .476 he was at the top of the statistics. Beside the great batting and great defense, he also made it count on the mound. He threw 28 innings and kept ERA to 2.57 with 38 strikeouts. Eagles played him as both a starter and a reliever, thus he also earned 3 saves. Uemura also conquered Homerun Derby during the All Star Game.
A year younger Natsuki Tamba is a pure pitcher who played in 17 games (13 as a starter). He threw 88 innings with ERA 2.97 and 68 strikeouts. His best game came against Sokol with Score 80.
