College Baseball: Jan Pospíšil shone at the end of the regular season

Another team with a Czech player in it finished the regular season. There were altogether three Czechs in game.

Daniel Padyšák didn’t get a chance to play in any of four Georgia games. His team won four times, three times against famous Vanderbilt and two times it was a dominant game. His teammate Charlie Condon continues with his great performances keeping a seven game homerun streak.

Michal Kovala played a game against Clemson for Georgia Tech. He threw 1.2 innings in the 14-12 win, where he allowed one run. He also struck out 3 batters.

Martin Zelenka playing for UNC Wilmington played a game against Campbell. He had 2 AB but was unable to get any hits. He was then substituted in the fifth inning and so he only watched the 7-4 win of his team from the dugout.

Pitt Community with Jan Pospíšil has his last week of the regular season behind them as well. And Czech batter will remember it fondly. He started on Tuesday against Lenoir with a hit and a walk. But the game against Southeaster Community College-Whiteville was even more successful for him. He repeated his performance in the first game. In the second he 2 hits (2 AB, 3 R, 2 H, 2 RBI, 1 BB) and in the third 3 (4 AB, 1 R, 3 H, 2 RBI, 1 BB). Pitt finished 3rd in DII East Region 10 and will now play in the regular tournament.
