PBW: Prospects won the second game of the tournament
After winning their first game, Czech youngsters got a chance to add second win against Lithuanian Utenos Titanai. They played well once again and managed to get the win.
Lithuanians were bolstered by several Extraliga players, and Eagles Praha David Wilson started on the mound. However, he had trouble with control, which Czechs used against him, when they rotated the lineup in the first inning. In the end they scored 4 runs in it. Prospects added 5 runs in the third inning, especially thanks to Michal Antoň who scored a triple.
Marek Štefka pitched the first two innings for Czech. He didn’t allow any runs, while striking out 3 batters. Utenos had to wait till the third inning to score their first run, this time against Viktor Sedláček. They added their last run in the sixth inning after a wild pitch from Jeroným Hanuška.
However, it was Prospects who scored the last, when they wrapped up the game with two runs in the ninth inning, taking the 11-3 win. Youngsters showed, once again, their bats, where each player from the lineup reached the base at least once. Michal Antoň was the only player to have 3 hits.
Prospects won their second game and will play their last game of the tournament on Friday, against favorites from Hakusoh Globetrotters.
